Team

Led by principal consultants Jessi Pérez and Krina Patel, Re-Work brings 30+ years of combined experience across philanthropy, nonprofits, government, and the private sector. Our team’s expertise includes systems mapping, leadership development, communications, crisis and change management, industrial psychology, and human-centered design — all delivered through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and neurodiversity-affirming lens.

What sets us apart? We bring our collective lived experiences as queer, neurodivergent, women of color with global experience and a deep commitment to self- and community care. We see every person as inherently worthy and utilize anti-oppression frameworks to prevent harm and support sustainable transformation. We also partner with and provide opportunities to other expert consultants in our work. We have transformed workplaces throughout our careers and are excited to partner with new clients!

  • CO-FOUNDER, PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

    Jessi Pérez (she/hers/ella) is an equity-centered leader, certified coach, and consultant with over 15 years of experience advancing organizational change, culture transformation, and inclusive leadership. Her career began in direct service—as a rape crisis counselor and victim advocate at Chicago’s largest rape crisis center—an experience that continues to ground her values of justice, care, and community.

    Drawing from both lived experience and professional expertise, Jessi brings a deep commitment to equity, healing, and the well-being of people at the center of her work. She has supported mission-driven organizations including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the Latino Policy Forum, Instituto del Progreso Latino, and For The Culture—a consulting collective she co-founded. Her work spans philanthropy, public health, human rights, and community development, where she has led efforts in equity-informed change management, inclusive leadership development, policy and culture assessments, and organizational learning. As a co-founder of Re-Work, she partners with individuals and organizations to operationalize equity, build capacity, and foster more connected, values-aligned environments,

    Jessi is an International Coaching Federation (ICF)- Associate Certified Coach (ACC), a bilingual (english/spanish) first-generation Latina, and a people-first practitioner who centers joy, relationship, and curiosity in all her work. Outside of her consulting and coaching practice, you’ll find her baking something decadent, playing poker and board games, wandering outdoors, or joyfully spoiling her niblings.

  • CO-FOUNDER, PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

    Krina Patel (she/her) is a strategist, coach, and systems thinker who brings over 15 years of cross-sector experience to her role as a co-founder and principal consultant at Re-Work. A former U.S. diplomat and senior strategist in global development and philanthropy, Krina specializes in leading organizations through complex change with purpose, empathy, and precision.

    Throughout her career, Krina has built and enabled high-functioning teams across government agencies, global foundations, and grassroots initiatives. Her expertise spans strategy development, change management, executive coaching, cross-sectoral collaboration, and culture transformation. A former ERG leader, Krina has led and supported initiatives at USAID and the Gates Foundation that improved organizational health and learning, as well as DEIA outcomes across continents and contexts.

    Krina weaves her lived experience as a neurodivergent (AuDHD) woman of color and first-generation American into her consulting practice. She brings a trauma-informed, systems-aware lens to each engagement, helping clients build cultures of care, collaboration, and impact. Outside of Re-Work, she also coaches and mentors neurodivergent adults through her firm, Re-Imagine With KP. She is also a sought-after speaker and advisor on equitable leadership and transformative systems change.

    Krina holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science and International Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. She loves traveling, trying new foods, and nature/forest bathing.
